Spring Breakin' and Temporary Tattoos

Hey, ya'll.

Today is the last day of spring break for Kit Kat and I. I know we will miss it dearly. It's been a really long time since we've written, and that's such a shame. I realized our blog is more of a place for Bonbon, Kit kat and I to share what we're feeling with each other rather than with the world. Which has been nice. I'm going to try to come back and write her more often.

Okay, so, Spring Break. I went to the beach, and so did Kit Kat. the same beach, on the same days, and we didn't even coordinate it. oddly enough, we never saw each other. I bought 120 temporary tattoos, which my mom is not exactly ecstatic about. There are dumptrucks, turtles, hearts, whales, flowers, etc. They're pretty sweet.

I am simply dying for it to be summer break. I mean, sure, I miss my friends from school, but the weather has just been so nice and I've loved staying up late and sleeping in, I just don't want it to end. Plus, I'm looking forward to most of my summer plans.

For four weeks, I'm working at a summer day camp for little kids that Kit Kat has worked at for several years. Then for a week I'll be going to South Dakota to work on an Indian reservation to teach native american children how to read. This is probably one of my favorite things I'll be doing this summer. In addition to hanging out with awesome people from my state and South Dakota, helping the kids is just so great. Most of them are very sweet but needy. Alot of them don't get the love that they deserve from home. The area in which they live is one of the most devastated in the nation. The unemployment rate is 80 percent, and suicide and depression is rampant. The first year my brother went, a seventeen year old boy had hung himself on the first day of camp, and a lot of the people my brother was there with saw the boy being taken down from the tree by his family. Helping the young kids gives you a feeling like no other; all they want is to be taken care of. it's incredible to see their desire to learn. After South Dakota, I am going to the beach with my family for a week. Then my birthday, then back to school.

I'm looking forward to it.
I hope Bon Bon and Kit kat write here soon.

<3 and other sweet things,
