Concert Reflection

Have you ever seen an orchestra perform? Has there ever been a soloist?

Last night, I attended a school concert with Kit Kat. Normally, I don't enjoy the orchestral part of these concerts. But one part of the performance really caught my eye: the soloist. She stood by herself in front of the others who sat. She played by herself about four times, and at one part played a solo that lasted about two whole minutes.
But what really stood out to me is the way she moved. With each pluck of a string, and each slide of the bow, she swayed and moved in a steady flow. Her body movements perfectly matched the music that sang out from the violin at her neck, they seemed as if they were one. Her movements seemed comical in a sense. Not in that they were humorous, but that they occurred in such grace and even flow that they seemed as if they couldn't exist in real life, that the only way for a body to move like that was in a cartoon movie. I don't think anyone but myself noticed; her moves were not exaggerated or overdone. They were just so smooth and inexplicable, it was bizarrely beautiful. Just some food for thought :)

<3 and other good things,

Sweet Tart
